Health and Safety - Ontario Ministry of Labour
The Occupational Health and Safety Act's main purpose is to protect workers against health and safety hazards on the job. The Act establishes procedures for dealing with workplace hazards, and it provides for enforcement of the law.

Office of the Worker Advisor (OWA)
An independent agency of the Ontario Ministry of Labour that provides free services to non-unionized injured workers and their survivors in workplace insurance matters.
Ontario Federation of Labour (OFL)
Ontario's central labour body, uniting 1,500 unions. Projects; union campaigns; conferences; skills training. "Library" has labour-issues publications for downloading.

United Steelworkers (USW)
Labour union representing 200,000 Canadian workers in steel, mining, health care, hotels, department and grocery stores, manufacturing, security and taxis. Fact sheets on health, safety, injury claims, women workers. Union campaigns; policy documents.
Virtual WHMIS
This Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) on-line training program is designed to certify Canadian employees in the identification and handling of hazardous material within the workplace.
Workers Health and Safety Centre (WHSC)
Health and safety training organization, established by OFL in 1979. WHSC trains workers to give health and safety training in their own workplaces, in communities from Thunder Bay to Windsor, 1 to 4 days. 3,000 volunteer health and safety instructors.
