Aboriginal Multi-Media Society (AMMSA)
This aboriginal communications organization website is full of information reflecting Aboriginal culture. Links to employment, education, aboriginal newspapers, community events and more. Be sure to visit their career opportunities page.
Assaulted Women's Helpline
A 24-hour telephone and TTY crisis line for women in the province of Ontario. They also speak to friends and family members of abused women, service providers and other professionals in contact with abused women.
Canadian Association of Professionals with Disabilities
This non-profit association is dedicated to maximizing workforce and community participation and inclusion of professionals with disabilities. They support all professionals regardless of their employment status, profession, or specialty.
Canadian Child Care Federation
A national non-profit organization whose mission is to improve the quality of child care services for Canadian children and families.
Canadian Council on Rehabilitation and Work (CCRW)
This network promotes meaningful and equitable employment of people with disabilities. Job accommodation services (JAS), training, and consultation are among the services provided to people with disabilities and potential employers.
Canadian Ethnocultural Council (CEC)
Ensuring the preservation, enhancement and sharing of the cultural heritage of Canadians, the removal of barriers that prevent some people from participating fully and equally in society, the elimination of racism and the preservation of a united Canada.
Canadian Race Relations Foundation (CRRF)
This information sharing, research and public awareness organization aims to foster cross-cultural understanding and help to eliminate racism. Check out the collection of bibliographies, articles, and initiatives against racism.

Centre for Activity and Ageing
The Centre combines research investigation of the interrelationship of physical activity and ageing, and the translation of research findings into strategies in order to maintain the ageing population in independent lifestyles.
Centre for Families, Work and Well-Being
Centre at the University of Guelph for applied research on individual and family well-being, workplace productivity and community supports. Produces research and policy papers. Issues include daycare policies, family values, health care, and flexible and family-friendly work environments.

Childcare Resource and Research Unit (CRRU)
This is a comprehensive, Canadian site on child care, based at the University of Toronto. The CRRU provides information on: research; policies; articles; publications; what's new; and other public education resources.
Community Living Ontario
Supports individuals with intellectual disabilities live, learn, work and participate in all aspects of living in the community. They also help families and the community to provide a welcoming and supportive environment.
Community Services - Ontario Ministry of Community and Social Services
Services for people most in need, includes: Aboriginal Healing and Wellness; Adoption Search; Developmental Services; Domestic Violence: Homelessness: the Family Responsibility Office (enforces court orders for child and spousal support); Interpreter and Intervenor services; and others.

Library Settlement Partnerships (LSP)
LSP services include one-on-one settlement information and referral, group information sessions, and community outreach. Newcomer settlement workers are working out of 49 public library branches in communities with high newcomer populations providing service in a variety of languages based on community needs.
LinkUp Employment Services (Toronto)
At its centre in downtown Toronto, LinkUp helps persons with disabilities find jobs through many cross-disability programs: assessment of skills and abilities; employment consultants to help with job searching; workshops and seminars; presentations by businesses. Niagara College- Information for Newcomers to Canada
Niagara College recognizes the difficulties many newcomers face upon arrival to Canada. We want to help you make the right choices on your road to success, so we offer a wide range of programs and services that will help you find the work and education that is right for you.
Niagara College offers free courses to newcomers to Canada who already have experience or training in Business, Health Sciences, Human Services or Technology. One of the programs is the OSLT (Occupation Specific Language Training )which is fully funded by CIC (Citizenship and Immigration Canada.
Northern Lights Vocational Services (NLVS)
Helps people entering or re-entering the workforce to find work, in partnership with community agencies, government organizations, employers, medical and rehabilitation professionals. Specializes in employer-based rehabilitation. Vocational assessments; case management; early and safe return to work; outplacement services. Based in Minden, with locations throughout Ontario.
Office of the Worker Advisor (OWA)
An independent agency of the Ontario Ministry of Labour that provides free services to non-unionized injured workers and their survivors in workplace insurance matters.
Ontario Association of Residences Treating Youth
OARTY provides residential care and treatment for children and youth who are physically and sexually abused, emotionally disturbed, developmentally challenged, autistic, medically fragile, young offenders, dually diagnosed, conduct disordered, psychiatrically disordered and other hard to serve clients.
Ontario March of Dimes (OMOD)
Helps Ontarians with physical disabilities participate more fully in community life. Employment programs focus on vocational assessment, skills training, supportive employment and job placement services.
Products - Neil Squire Foundation
This non-profit organization provides education, technology and career development for people with physical disabilities. Consult their list of products, which includes computer and office assistive technology.
Programs and Services - Ontario Ministry of Children and Youth Services
The provincial government funds child welfare, family intervention, children's community support, children's mental health, and child care services. Includes: behavioural intervention for children with autism; services and supports to children with special needs; and other supports to children and youth at high risk.
